The inaugural meeting of the Western Cape Game Management Forum took place in Swellendam on the 4^th  of October 2022. KAAPJAG is proud to be one of the founding members of the forum, which was created on request of Minister Anton Bredell, Western Cape Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning.

The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform where stakeholders can express their vision, ideas, and practical proposals with regards to the development of the game industry, supporting the sustainable biodiversity economy in the Western Cape.

The forum is comprised of associations representing stakeholders in the game industry and was attended by CHASA, WRSA (Wildlife Ranching SA), Kaapjag, Suid-Kaap Jagters, NHSA, PHASA (Professional Hunters of South Africa), academics and Cape Nature.
